Shop the Sale at BARNAS FORUM
at Forum Expo (Spring 2020)
Stavanger Kids Sale is THE PLACE to find quality, gently used items for babies, kids and mothers-to-be in the greater Stavanger area. We have 350 sellers and 35.000+ items, so you just can't beat the selection!
Come and stock up on all the things your kids need for a fraction of the price you'd pay in retail stores! The sale is set up like a retail environment so it is easy to find what you are looking for. Clothes are sorted by gender and age, and like items are grouped together (toys, sports gear, books, etc.).
Due to security and space concerns, shoppers are not permitted to bring strollers/prams, and personal bags (other than a SMALL purse) into the sale hall. Baby carriers that you wear (not infant car seats) are permitted. These items can be left with our bag check/pram parking attendant in the lobby of Forum Expo. We will be checking shoppers as they enter and leave. So please plan accordingly! |
...Shopping FAQ....

1. When and where is the Stavanger Kids Sale held? How does it work?
We had our first sale in January 2009, and since then have held two sales a year--in March and September. The Stavanger Kids Sale has been held at Madla bydelshus since 2009. However, the spring 2019 sale was moved to Forum Expo as part of the fun (and huge) family event for kids, Barnas Forum.
The autumn sales will continue at Madla bydelshus.
We have been invited back to Barnas Forum in 2020, and are excited to hold the spring Stavanger Kids Sale in Forum Expo 6-7 June 2020. The sale will be open to the public on Saturday, 6 June from 10-17, and Sunday, 7 June from 10-16 (the rest of Barnas Forum will be open until 17.00).
Individual sellers register online, set their own prices, prepare their items, and drop them off at the sale. Items must be in very good to excellent condition. Sellers earn 70-75% of the selling price. Interested in being a seller? See Seller Info.
2. What types of items will be for sale?
Children's clothing (0-14 years), maternity clothing, shoes, baby gear (strollers/prams, car seats, highchairs, baby carriers), children's linens, toys, games, puzzles, infant toys, furniture (changing tables, cribs/cots, bassinets), room decor for children, DVDs, CDs, books for kids, books for adults, feeding supplies, bathing supplies, sports gear, and so much more!!

6. Can I bring my kids?
You are welcome to bring your kids to the sale on Saturday and Sunday. You must keep your kids close to you at all times, and please do not let them play with the toys. Due to space and security concerns, we do not allow customers to bring their own strollers/prams/car seats into the sale hall--they must be "parked" in the pram parking area. If you have your baby with you, make sure to bring a baby carrier that you WEAR (not carry).

Unfortunately it is not possible to try on clothing. Take your children's measurements and make a note of their sizes before you come to the sale. We will have a few measuring tapes on hand if needed.

8. Is it possible to return an item?
We do not take returns. All sales are final. Please inspect your items carefully before purchasing (remember that they are USED), and ASK if you have questions. Because of the international makeup of the Stavanger area, you should pay special attention to certain items:

9. How does the half-price sale work?
All items will be sold for the full price on Saturday. On Sunday from 10.00-16.00, many of our remaining items will be sold for half price. Please note that whether an item is sold for half price is up to the individual seller, so not all items will be 50% off on Sunday. |
How do I know which items are discounted? Have a look at the price tag for each item. If it says Discount: Yes, the item will be sold for 50% off. The discount will be applied automatically at checkout. If it says Discount: No, the item will be sold for the full price, and no discount will be applied.
