Shop the Online Sale (Winter 2021)


Stavanger Kids Sale is THE PLACE to find quality, gently used items for babies, kids and parents-to-be in the greater Stavanger area.  We have 200+ sellers and more than 25,000 items, so you just can't beat the selection!  Stock up on all the things your kids need for a fraction of the price you'd pay in retail stores!  


1. When and where is the Stavanger Kids Sale held?  How does it work? 
We had our first sale in January 2009, and since then have held two sales a year--in March and September.  Most of our sales have been held at Madla bydelshus, but our Spring 2019 sale was held at Forum Expo as part of the Barnas Forum event.  Our Spring 2020 sale was scheduled to take place at Barnas Forum, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Individual sellers register online, set their own prices, prepare their items, and drop them off at the sale.  Items must be in very good to excellent condition.  Sellers earn 70-75% of the selling price.   


The social distancing requirements due to COVID-19 prevent us from having a physical sale. So we had an online sale in September 2020, and are going to have yet another online sale in February 2021.  You still get to shop the same great items--this time it is all online!

2. How and when can I shop the Winter 2021 Online Sale?
The online shop can be accessed from our homepage and will be open for the public at the following times:

3. What payment methods do you accept?
For the online sale, you can pay by Mastercard, and VISA (credit card & debit card).

4.  When and where can I pick up my purchased items?

Saturday, 20 February from 09.00 - 18.00 
Sunday, 21 February from 10.00 - 15.00

​The closest bus stop is Madlamark kirke.  Please see www.kolumbus.no for bus routes.

Please write your name, email address, and the first of your order number(s) on a piece of paper, and show this to our volunteer who is standing in front of Madla bydelshus. We will bring your items outside to you.  If you open your trunk, we can put the items right in your car.

**A 10 kr fee is added to each order in our online shop.  This helps to offset the transaction fees we have to pay for each order and to pay for the Ikea bag(s) we use to pack up your order(s).**

5. What is the return policy?
Our sellers are given explicit instructions on what they can and cannot sell.  We expect them to sell items in very good to excellent condition.  All sales are final, but customers may return (for a full refund) items that were labeled incorrectly (wrong size was entered by the seller), are damaged, broken, stained, or missing pieces -- in other words, items that do not meet our standards.  

We will set up an area in front of Madla bydelshus where you can test out your items before you leave.  We'll have a power cord available to test electronics.  Please make sure you talk with us if you have ANY questions. 


We will process returns inside Madla bydelshus.  You may not come inside if you are sick.  If you do come inside, remember to keep a distance of at least one meter from others, and please wear a face mask. Any customers who come inside have to leave their name and phone number for contact tracing purposes.

Once you have collected your order and driven out of the parking lot, we will not allow you to return items.  So make sure you look through your items carefully before leaving.

6. What types of items will be for sale?
Children's clothing (0-14 years -- up to size 170, plus women's/men's XXS-M), maternity clothing, shoes, baby gear (strollers/prams, car seats, highchairs, baby carriers), children's linens, toys, games, puzzles, infant toys, furniture (changing tables, cribs/cots, bassinets), room decor for children, DVDs, CDs, books for kids, books for adults, feeding supplies, bathing supplies, sports gear, and so much more!!

7.  How does the half-price sale work?
All items will be sold for the full price on Saturday, 13 February from 10-22. The shop will open up again Sunday, 14 February at 10.00, when many items will be 50% off.  It will be obvious which items are 50% off, as the regular price will be crossed out.  The shop will close on Sunday night, 14 February at 22.00. 

Please note that whether an item is sold for half price is up to the individual seller, so not all items will be 50% off on 14 February.  But we encourage our sellers to discount their items, and most do so.

8. Will the café be open?
​
 The café will not be open, but Liza from The Cupcakery, will take cupcake orders in advance of the sale pick-up weekend.  She will be at Madla bydelshus with your orders on 13-14 February. Let the volunteer out front know your cupcake order number, and we'll bring your box of cupcakes out to you!  More information to come.  You can visit The Cupcakery on Facebook and Instagram.

9. I have some items I want to sell.  How do I become a seller?
Anyone can register to be a seller.   Registration for the Winter 2021 Online Sale will open on Thursday, 7 January 2021 at 20.00.
